Extend Sockets

Hackathon is to be conducted in seminar hall of ATX College. But the seminar hall has only one power socket. The organising team wants to extend it with some number of power strips, each with $X$ number of sockets. As one power strip with $X$ sockets can extend one empty socket into $X$ empty sockets.
